To write of love is too great a task,
And far too much of the mind to ask.
But a simple poem,
Shall do the same,
As a discourse on love through which not much came.
Love is not feelings,
That cause us romance,
For that is saved,
For your Beloved when you dance 💙
Love is no affair with the Divine,
Love is more a state of mind.
Love is putting others before yourself,
Not a feeling you store on a shelf.
Love is sweet, kind, and soft,
Full of grace and not held aloft.
It is a simple act of kindness,
You do for another,
To show them your lack of blindness,
To the hurting heart of a mother.
Forgiveness and grace,
Both have their place,
In the purpose of love,
That was a gift from God above
