WHAT THE BLIND SAW

The days are angry when the solemn prayer is felt,
The mountains have rivalries even when the sun finds a shelf,
The shame of the dying is that he cannot help himself,
So take his sighing as an unanswered request.
Tell me another wonder than day or night,
Death or life, frail and fright,
the womb man or bird in flight.
Then I will answer thee, more stranger than these is the one from whence they all got life.
I have seen Jaws agape for want of speeches,
when their souls were confronted by realities,
That theretofore had only existed in the land of the phoenix,
But alas confront them in manly seasons.
With this, console the man who had sought wisdom all his life,
Only to be given a pinch of of salt and a stick of candle light.
