When all the lights are out

When all the lights are out…
I wanted to hold you by your waist
Once more in a decade
And look into your eyes
Like a King Cobra aiming the crown buried in your fears.
I wanted you to look into my eyes too like mothers do their babies
And give me that smile to set your body free from the bondage of cotton that was hiding the brilliance of your dark skin.
Maybe you could save me from falling into the abyss nothingness
Because i believed in you.
You were simply purity - the only joy i knew
The only truest elation i had; young and brief
Sensual and wealthy.
But you broke like a day in Antarctica -
You offered no rain only dried jokes
Of cold amusement and silly fears.
Who could have thought that your voice that sounded alive earlier could be broken into pieces of uncompleted music?
And you still did not want my lips to fix you: I fix me too.
I wanted to touch you in many places,
Using my fingers to trace the glorious Lali on your hands and on your beautiful legs too
But you turned, away like a ship without a compass.
And all i wanted was a smile
And an avenue to confess to you that i was looking at every woman hoping to see you.
When all the lights are out...
