WHEN HEARTS COLLIDE

She was sitting across
The smokey gloomy room
Sipping her English tea,
I was sitting opposite of her
Admiring her beauty from afar
Such beauty one oft not times see,
I was celibate for 15 years
Then had a relationship
That crashed and to cinders burned,
One would think of past failures
Of love's that could not stay
By now I should have learned,
Love is not meant for the many
Love comes to hearts so few
Love for me will never come to be,
Oh I can write about love
About first kisses honey sweet
About when hearts collide,
How the emptiness hurts
Not able to quench love's thirst
Knowing real love I'll be denied.
So I spend my time in smokey bars
Finding lonely as I ladies
Who enjoy sipping English tea,
Not minding an "Only tonight romp"
A just for tonight "love" affair
To be honest I'm so calloused
I now no longer seem to care
Hoping one day my love will be there
Hoping one day my love will be there.
When hearts collide...
