When I find my inner happiness
Whenever that may be
I hope to find the courage
That has eluded me.
The courage to fight against the government
Who have taken away my life.
For I am registered disabled
And I am enduring so much strife.
I barely get any benefits
Except for Universal Credit and PIP.
And even they over the course of a month
Are not enough to set me free
From the cost of living crisis
Which is driving me to despair.
And the worry of me falling ill
Keeps lingering in the air.
Whoever our next primeminister is
I hope that he or she
Will take into consideration
What the Tories have done to me.
Not just to me but the whole of Britain
As we battle through this shambles
Whilst these penny pinchers with their
Pockets full of cash galore
Are taking an almighty gamble
To listen to their own voices.
Not to the citizens that are losing their wealth.
And what are the consequences that we face?
Death and severe failing health.
When a general election is called for whom
Should I vote?
By whose name should I place a cross?
For I don't trust any MP's any more.
They're the ones who've brought about our
Loss.
I don't trust Liz Truss or Rishi Sunak
Once they're inside Ten Downing Street.
What will The Conservative ministers all
Be like
Once the selection is complete?
And as I ponder over who I think should
Be in power.
Am I doing myself a favour
By asking should I vote for Liberal Democrats
Or even Green?
Or should I vote for Labour?
