When I go outside
I see many things
Plants and animals
Pretty birds that sing
There's rocks to view
Each with a history
Pebbles and stones
On how they came to be
There are trees too
Some grow so high
Flowers much lower
To see them , oh my!
The grass grows thick
It grows very good
Crawling with bugs
Searching for food
The random sticks
That fell from the trees
Some are useful
To make shelter if you need
Plants are helpful
Very medicinal
To cure your illness
And make you well
Other plants beware
They can make you twitch
Ones like poison ivy
Can make for quite an itch
But all these things
Mother nature made
We must protect them
And to not let them fade
