When I go outside
I see many things
Plants and animals
And pretty birds that sing
There's rocks to view
Each with a history
Pebbles and stones
On how they came to be
There are trees too
Some grow so high
Flowers much lower
Seeing them you say oh my!
The grass grows thick
It grows very good
Crawling with bugs
Searching for some food
The random sticks
Fallen from the trees
Some are useful
To make shelter if you need
Plants are helpful
Very medicinal
To cure from sickness
And will make you feel well
Other plants beware
They can make you twitch
The ones like poison ivy
The rash makes quite an itch
But all these things
Mother nature made
We must protect them
And we should not let them fade
