WHEN I WILL DIE AND WHEN I DIE
Uncertainty has always been the certainty in the heart of every man concerning tomorrow
Some lean towards assurance while most lean towards fear
Despite one's preparation for tomorrow
You still never can tell how prepared your preparation is to meet your tomorrow
An African adage has it that "If you don't use death as an instance, it will seems as if death is strong"
But we all know that we cannot wrestle against nature at least not for long
No one sleeps with his muscles energised and pumped
Sleep renders you vulnerable
Death comes knocking
Silently creeps in my name calling
Weakness overwhelms me
My strength evaporates
When I will die
I don't want to die out of frustration or depression
I don't want to leave my body sick or miserable
For I will want to come back to it again
When I will die
I want to die empty yet unfulfilled
For the world cannot grant me fulfilment
So all the days I may have lived would be for the delivery of me
When I will die
I want to die holding the hand of my daughter
With a great love, have I loved her though yet unborn
When I die
Write me a thousand letters
Write me poems
Tile my resting place with the words thereof
When I die
Pour on me a thousand roses
Let my spirit feel loved
Let my dead body shed a drop of tear in goodbye
When I die
Slab not my abode
Let my remains face the sky
Let the rays of the sun on my face display my smile
When I die
Cry not for me
Gather around me with smiles
Bless ye my remains, lay it down in thousands kisses blown
When I die
Remember me for the love shown
Call me not lonely
Let my works remind you of me
When I die
When I die
Can I ask that I be set on a course in a boat
As I flow with the tide
Let my thoughts flow continously in you
My love, let my thoughts impregnant you
Give births to many good works
I will still love even when I die
