When Love Was

When love was priceless,
Little efforts do impress,
And you're saved of stress.
When love was free,
Nakedness promised no cloth,
And words were taken for their worth.
When love was True,
Lies had no space,
For truth filled up every place.
When love was pure,
Disappointment had no appointment,
And grace and upliftment was in every statement.
When love was sure,
Agreement met no disagreement,
And offences were thrown off the fence.
When love was love,
Hatred skipped school
Together with jealousy and malice too.
When love was godly,
Helping another came with no terms and conditions
No matter the situation.
For charity is kind, long suffering and not easy to provoke,
Love rejoice in the truth, endures, and never fails.
So love openly with no motives of fame and selfish gains.
When was love actually love for you?
