When Rain Became Warm
For years, the rain never held me warm—
Each drop, a cold and rough caress.
Storms trace your shadow through the storm,
But return to leave only emptiness.
I walked through darkness where no soft grass grew,
Convinced my life would drift from you.
Perhaps it was all a dream I knew—
Yet still I ached for what I couldn’t do:
To stare into those eyes I crave,
To press my lips to yours and save
My heart from beating in a hollow way,
From tears that once were all my sway.
Now, as heavy rain pours down again,
No longer cold, no longer sharp or mean.
It soothes each bone, revives my vein—
Warm drops that wake the fire within.🌘✨ 01162026 ©LanZhan
