When The Storm Comes To Kiss The Sea

When The Storm Comes To Kiss The Sea

I wait,
my surface soft,
pulling at the moon’s silver threads.
Your arrival is always sudden
teeth of thunder,
a kiss that bruises.

You are too calm without me.
I come
shatter, scatter,
rattle your bones,
turn your heart to froth.
I do not love gently.

Crash
we collide,
a furious embrace,
a quarrel,
a longing.
We tear each other apart
only to return again,
again.

Like two bodies who cannot stay,
yet cannot part.
