The day we meet at the alter
Our love will be proven stronger
It may not assure us a happy happy ever after
But at least our fate will be open to a new chapter
I know lately things between us aren't going so well
And this fact we can both surely tell
But if loving you is a challenge I must pass
Then trust me it's one I won't dare to fail
Sometimes I feel that I met the right person at the wrong time
So I wait cause loving you is not a crime
like the next sentence that's about to give this poem meaning
One day our love will flow fluently as this exact ryhme
So baby when we meet at that alter
I'll make sure it's everything you've ever wanted it to be
And to God I pray that this you'll surely see
I won't promise anything to give our future a solid guarantee
But just know that one day I'll ask you to marry me
Today you may walk out of my life
And stab me behind my back with a knife
But with all the love I have for you
I still want you to be my future wife
So at that alter
I'll be there waiting for you
Hopefully you say I do
Just remember this
My love for you will always be true.
