I've searched my whole life hoping to find
someone who's heart is both true and kind.
I settled on something I thought was good enough
but time proved me wrong and life was too tough.
Then you came along, you opened my eyes

It's alright to be happy and it's okay to smile,
the worlds not my judge and my life's not on trial.
You taught me how to laugh and it's still ok to cry.
I don't have to fake a smile, no need to live a lie.

You showed me how to live when you became my friend.
