Though time may take what once we held,
And silence fill the space they dwelled,
Love does not vanish with the days
It lingers on in quiet ways.
It lives in things they used to say,
In light that warms a cloudy day,
In songs we hear, in dreams at night,
In whispered thoughts that still feel right.
It echoes in a favorite place,
In tears we let fall on our face,
But softer now, it doesn’t break
It holds us up for their sweet sake.
Love learns to glow where grief once burned,
In every lesson we have learned.
They may be gone, yet we remain
Still touched by love, still shaped by pain.
And though we walk a path apart,
We carry them in mind and heart.
For even loss, though deep and wide,
Is just where love and life collide.
