family isn't the life for me
my family gave up on me
at my dad's funeral they didn't let me have a voice
where were you when I needed you
you broke my heart
I wanted so much for you to love me
I wanted to ask for your forgiveness
where were you when I needed you
truth be told I have a family they are my chruch
they didn't leave me when I was hurting and in pain
they stood beside me
they are my hope when things go wrong
where were you when I needed you
do you even begin to care
do you know how many tears I cry
as I sit here and and write this poem I cry
