he caught me with
a whim and a smile
showed me the here and now
I felt overwhelmed with joy
with his love i had found
then suddenly he drifted
shifted his time and smile
his attention became
resounded to me
where he left me at
I waited awhile
asked why and how
then he slowly would
show me a half smile
act like I still had him
at a distance some how
