As far as a letter goes,
It was nondescript,
The message it carried was sinister.
Words that chilled, emotions froze,
A darkness within, tightly gripped,
A secret no one chose.
The ink, a harbinger of dread,
revealing truths we longed to hide,
With each line carefully read.
Now, with hearts weighed down by fear,
We face the shadows drawing near,
A path unknown, no comfort here.
