Whispers in Glass
A glimmer caught, a fleeting stare,
A face I know, yet unaware.
Lines etched deep, stories untold,
Time has carved, but left me whole.
Eyes that shimmer, shadows play,
Echoes of dreams that slipped away.
The mirror hums, a quiet song,
Of who I was, and all that's gone.
In silver pools, my past resides,
A thousand selves the glass divides.
The child who danced, the heart that broke,
The words I wished I never spoke.
The glass reflects, but never lies,
It holds the tears behind my eyes.
A silent witness, cold and clear,
To every joy, to every fear.
Yet in its depths, I see the flame,
A spark untouched, it calls my name.
Not just the cracks, the flaws, the scars,
But galaxies among the stars.
So I linger, let it speak,
The mirror’s voice, steady, sleek.
Through its gaze, I find my key,
The reflection whispers, “You are free.”
