Whispers in the storm...
The sky hangs low in a silken gray.
As winds in whispers drift and sway,
The trees stand still in silent grace.
While shadows dance on nature's face,
A hush of calm, the world breathes slow,
The air is thick with a silver glow,
Yet in the hush, a warning lies,
A flicker cracks across the skies,
Clouds, like cloaks, in layers curled,
Guard secrets of a stormy world,
Raindrops tiptoe on leaves and stone,
Soft as sighs, yet not alone,
For thunder growls in distant might,
A lion pacing out of sight,
And lightning's blade, so ierce and pale,
Strikes like truth through a lover's tale,
It's peace laced close with sudden dread,
A quiet with a pulse of red,
The storm holds back, but just for now,
A crown of calm on chaos's brow...
