Who doesn't love Brussell Sprouts at Christmas?
To be honest neither do I.
They're always overcooked,wet and soggy.
But i'm willing to give them a try.
What's so special about these vegetables?
Nothing much i guess.
So at this point Brussell or Roast Potato?
The latter.
It's flavour is easier to digest.
The problem with Brussell Sprouts is
So the truth be told.
Once they're on the table
They've gone bloody cold.
I don't want to be rude or impolite.
But i am going to be stout.
If you force them upon me
I'm gonna spit them out.
Let me tell you a little secret
Which you may have never heard before.
Brussells are so much tastier and appetizing
When they are left raw.
Please don't screw your face up.
Until you give it a go
A Waldorf Salad is just divine.
If you don't try you'll never know.
So get out your kitchen knives.
And let's get slicing.
Now in with the walnuts and chopped apple.
It's so much more enticing.
A little bit of mayonnaise, salt and pepper
Are the finishing touches that you'll need
And i promise you that this dish
Will make it easier for you to feed
Family and friends at this time of year
And fewer of them will be sick.
Just you wait.You'll be amazed
They'll be coming back for seconds
Double quick.
Brussell Sprouts aren't just for Christmas.
You can have them when you please.
And until you're ready to use them
They are so very easy to freeze.
So enjoy your Christmas dinner.
And without a doubt.
Let's forget about the turkey and the Pudding.
The sprout is what it's about.
