WHO WILL MAKE THE MOVE?

We love each so well
But neither of us knows
We both find each other's company swell
But one thing blows
Seems to continually hurt
An obvious fact
That is so curt
It causes us to retract
Does he love me the way I do?
Does he feel the same way?
Would he stick with me like glue
Or would he tell me nay?
Would I come off, to him as cheap?
This is a bad idea
I cannot take this blind leap
And risk the shedding of many a tear
Oh goodness
I love her so much
Being with her is sweetness
I never want to lose such
Can I tell her how I feel
Can I pour out my emotions
Shall I spin it out on a reel
Like pictures of motions
I really want to her to be mine
But does she want to be hers
Day & Night, for her, my heart does pine
It surpasses the highest of towers
But I cannot make the move
What if I am embarrassed
If she does not feel the same love
I may be accused of having her, harassed
I guess I would keep it to myself
I'll never put it out there
There! The love is put back in the shelf
Out of an unfounded fear
Meanwhilst, she loves him so much
He loves her just the same
But their hearts are given the knock out punch
By a fear so untame
Who then would make the move
Or would they let their hearts die
From lack of the oxygen of love
For which, in pain, it does cry?
