Who Will Mourn Me When I Die

Who will mourn me when I die?
Can lofty creatures really cry?
While saintly sepulchre purch the sky;
Will ghostly homeward bound be I?
Only within lost faith of dead minds,
Do those mockingbirds reach the blank sky.
My mind is empty, but full of ebony.
Who will mourn me when I'm lofty?
Will all my projects and all my plans
Decay into nothing like dust in the sand?
Will all my memories only feel like a minute;
And all their worth give but a second?
When I can no longer sleep anymore;
Could I still have some dreams to wait for?
Though all my friendships, I cannot restore.
Who will mourn me? - I am not sure.
If only one last thing could I do;
I'd tell those saints that I knew
What really lies beyond that great blue,
But for whomever mourned me, "Adieu".
