I do take us serious,
And it pains me when I see you in tears,
I want to introduce you to my parents,
See the look on there face,
When they realize I have a princess,
A woman blessed with both beauty and grace,
But am ashamed of where I come from,
Ashamed of this place I call home,
Its not a palace or a castle,
Its just a place that feels wrong,
My folks are wonderful people,
But I don't think they'll meet your expectation,
Their goodness runs to the soul,
But they don't have the life you grew to know,
Where they live isn't safe,
So give me time,I'll introduce you someday,
Because they are also dying to meet you,
