Will I ever see my consultant dead on time?
I left home at a quarter past eight.
Why should i be sitting here for two hours
Whilst the doctors are running late?
I have to travel a long,long way.
My journey by bus is insane.
I have to get two to the hospital.
And two to get home again.
My appointment was arranged for nine forty five.
It is now twelve fifteen.
What is going on right now?
When will i be seen?
I am not prepared to sit and wait.
Whilst my symptoms are getting worse.
This is an emergency.
I demand to see a nurse.
I'm feeling sick.I'm feeling dizzy.
I think I'm going to faint.
Or even fall unconscious.
Who's going to listen to my complaint?
And when i receive my next appointment letter
I do not wish to see
That the date has had to be changed
Without you consulting me.
If i'm expected to be seen within six months or so
You had better keep your word.
It is not fair on me as a patient.
In fact it's most absurd.
