शिकवा एक है उससे कि वो कुछ बता तो देती,
जब नज़रों से नजरें मिली थी, वो नज़रें झुका तो देती!
पल दो पल की उस क़ुर्बत में, अल्फ़ाज़ मेरे बिखर से गए थे,
उसे मोहब्बत थी या ना थी, वो कोई इशारा तो देती!
चंद लम्हों की मोहलत में, कोई इश्क़ कैसे बयाँ करता,
अगर उसे ये एहसास होता, वो दुबारा मौक़ा तो देती!
उसकी यादों का कारवाँ, उम्र भर तक चलता रहेगा,
सिर्फ़ ये मेरी मोहब्बत की खता थी, वो कोई सजा तो देती!

ENGLISH TRANSLATION
I have but one complaint against her she could have told me something,
When our eyes met, she could have at least lowered her gaze.
In those fleeting moments of closeness, my words fell apart and scattered,
Whether she loved me or not, she could have given some sign.
In just a few borrowed moments, how could anyone confess their love?
Had she understood this, she could have given me another chance.
The caravan of her memories will keep travelling with me all my life,
If loving her was my only fault, she could have given me some punishment.
