Like honey, sweet but so complex to reach
When the light hit them just right
I willingly lost myself in the possibilities
In and out of the love bubble
I held on for dear life when confined to it
Then flailed in the wind when out of it
I sought without shame
Damn the consequences
An unpredictable drug drip
The truth was bare between the drips
But them eyes had a great a hold
Reduced to a coward in deceptive strength
Delusional in a sea of desperation
The honey brown soothed any doubt
Until the bare truth became naked
Then unbearable and then too costly
With them brown eyes after your name
First in awe and endearment
Now with loss, regret and sorrow.
