Who is she, the woman I see
The mirror tells me she's me
But I only see an empty sea
Emotions wave over me
The once stormy fired up girl
With an ambitious mind all in a whirl
Going there doing that
Working two jobs got my own flat
Time spent with people laughing,
making plans
Travelling with friends the world's a large expanse
Chalking up memories as we went here
and there
Doing things that challenge us, yes,
we did dare
All too quick lifes a settled place,
Where bills and responsibilities paid with grace.
He came we married
over a threshold me carried.
But then so did she,
Marriage isn't meant for 3,
I cried for what wasn't meant to be
It's over I said. You're dead to me !!
And as I see her smile
That woman in the mirror
She stood her ground for a while.
She's back she's stronger, wiser
There's more to this woman standing there than the little girl who's inside her
