Word by word
Word by word
It isn't easy to explain
This backwards thinking that
Goes through my brain
B's and D's, P's and Q's
I got reason to be confused
The problem arises often
Writing has been horrible
I'm far from a word craftsman
Backwards and out of order
I try my best with this disorder
These letters take flight
And land where they don't belong
Right feels wrong and
Wrong feels strong
Reading the lines I fumble
Writing the letters I jumble
I don't know which is right
From the start I tumble
But still I grip this pen
Like an oar to tide
Against the current
I try to ride
Letters may fall
And lines may fight
But I'll keep sailing
Word by word
Unto the light
My sentences may seem
A bit the scrambled way
But the feelings I express
Will never go far away
Words that I encounter
I try my best to remake
But they get tangled up
And the result makes me ache
Still, I write through storm and sρin
Let the tanɡled letters win
If meaning hides or drifts from sight
I'll find my truth between the lines — in liɡht
