V

World so cold

Tempered glass , empty vase,
She dresses herself in velt and lace
She makes herself look beautiful
For a world that has her stuck and stifled
She plays the role they expect her to be
She hides her feelings closed off and nimby
Goes off into this world so cold
Shes left feeling claustrophobic and controlled
Was forced to grow up way too fast
Became a woman so young and divest
Marry into the upper class
She's told to be lascivious
Was to young to understand her rights
But now it's to late and can not fight
So she puts on her masked face
And all her feelings she keeps locked away
A sense of security she knows she has
the only thing that makes it not so bad
Most night's as she sits alone
She Ponders of a life unknown
And that vase that sits on tempered glass
Became an empty vessel, shattered with a life of duress
