Of all the things I have waited for,
The one that was worth waiting was
For you and your presence alongside me,
Waiting to give you my love
Waiting to realise that you've actually got to know me
Waiting to tell you how much you mean to me
Waiting for a cup of tea to start my morning, and you beside me
Waiting to sense your warmth around
Waiting to embrace you and whisper in your ears,
“Let us live my poetry way”
And turn my dreams into actual ones.
