However, some relationships do not last for various reasons. Have you ever felt as though you would never meet the right person, or encountered someone and feared they might cause you pain?
Even when you have feelings for someone,there can be too many issues to make a relationship work. One day, a young woman named Brynn,who hails from a wealthy white American family,resides with her parents Kristi and Ken.
As a child, Brynn was a well-behaved girl, enjoying typical American pastimes like playing with dolls and Barbie, surrounded by many feminine toys.
Throughout her education, from daycare to college,
she experienced a rivalry with a boy named Jake, which began with minor issues and eventually escalated to significant conflict .
Now that Brynn is a preteen, she is beginning to experience the typical emotions that girls often feel. There was a time when she had feelings for Jake; they started off as friends and would frequently spend time together with a group.
Eventually, they admitted their feelings for each other, but it didn't last long because Brynn has come to realize that boys often cheat and are not always faithful.
Brynn wasn't particularly concerned about many things that typically interest girls; what mattered most to her was school and family.
As a result, her experiences with Jake didn't hold much significance for her. Over the years, she had a few crushes on boys and dated three of them during her freshman, sophomore, and junior years,but those relationships didn't last.
Eventually, she shifted her focus back to her studies,especially when she was starting senior year. Eventually,Brynn graduated and landed a job as an author and caregiver,which she truly enjoyed.
Staying true to her nature, she dedicated herself to her work. At one point,she fell deeply in love with a guy named Jimmy, only to realize he wasn't the right person for her. Despite experiencing both good and bad times with him over four years, she was also involved with another guy named Ricky.
Oh, how she believed that her feelings for Ricky would be devastating, and she feared it would break her heart. Ricky ultimately broke Brynn's heart, primarily due to their age difference.
Brynn had a tendency to be attracted to older white bad boys for some reason,and perhaps she sought excitement in her otherwise mundane life. Ricky and Brynn initially encountered each other at a bus station, and for some time, she didn't recognize him or pay him any mind, aware that he was a bus driver.
They would have brief chats until one day, as usual, Brynn boarded the bus and asked the driver what he was eating. The bus driver mentioned that he was eating sunflower seeds. Brynn then inquired about the flavor, and he replied that it was pickle seed.
She said it was her favorite flavor, and he offered her some. She accepted, which marked the start of something unfortunate. The same day, the bus driver dropped her off at her bus stop as she was heading home then the next day Brynn prepared for work.
As Brynn was getting on the bus, the driver, named Ricky, gave her a whole bag of pickle seeds,which made her very happy. She thought that was the end of it, but she was mistaken. The next day,while Brynn was waiting for help at a store, she spotted Ricky walking in. Later, she mentioned to him that she had seen him there, and he asked, "Oh really? Why were you out so late?" When she explained that she had to walk home after the station closed, he gave her his phone number in case she needed assistance.
After finishing her shift at work, Brynn realized she needed a ride, so she called Ricky. From that moment on, everything changed between them; they started spending a lot of time together, as if an invisible barrier was keeping reality at bay.
At one point, Brynn asked Ricky to teach her how to drive, and he agreed. He consistently taught her how to drive and mostly provided her with what she desired,treating her like a princess.
They would drink and occasionally smoke, always being there for one another . As they spent more time together, both of them began to develop feelings for each other. Ricky would often persuade her to do things, and she viewed their interactions as just playful fun.
as just playful fun.Brynn never took it seriously, which turned out to be her biggest mistake, especially when there came a time when Brynn couldn't see each other anymore due to work commitments.
Once, Brynn had the opportunity to spend some time with Ricky and take her out for a drive. However, before they went, Ricky seriously asked Brynn what she would think if he went on a date with another passenger named Hoodrat.
Brynn didn't realize that her response would jeopardize her chances with Ricky; she simply replied that she had a lot going on in her life at the moment,so he should go ahead.
The heartache Brynn would experience over the next two years stemmed from her own decision. Brynn had never given much thought to the question Ricky posed, so she continued with her life.
However, one day when she needed a ride, she called him, only to discover that he was on a date with another passenger.
That's when it dawned on her that she would no longer be the center of his attention
As soon as Brynn noticed that the hoodrat was getting all of Ricky's attention and spending time with him, it hurt her feelings. She didn't realize that this would impact her relationship with Ricky.
However, as the hoodrat spent more time in Ricky's life, Brynn began to see that the hoodrat was quite jealous and often caused problems in their relationship.
As the months went by, Ricky continued with his life, and so did Brynn. However, it still hurt them both that they weren't as close anymore, especially since they had always enjoyed each other's company when they were getting to know one another.
The sudden change was painful for both of them.
One day, another bus driver, who was very close to Brynn,wanted to share something with her.
The bus driver told Brynn to come closer so she could share something, but asked her to promise not to say anything. Brynn agreed, and the driver shared that he had broken up with his girlfriend, which brightened Brynn's day.
Later, she texted him, and they quickly began spending time together, going out in public, drinking,smoking, and even becoming intimate,as if they were living in a dream.
This continued for three months as they supported each other through their breakups and homelessness,often hanging out at motels or hotels.
Brynn would spend time with his friends until he hurt her again, despite her being a good friend by encouraging him to reconnect with his ex-girlfriend,Hood Rat, to see if they could work things out.
He told Brynn that he and Hood Rat were talking and wanted to discuss their issues.While they were together, he sought Brynn's advice about his relationship and shared everything that had happened at work.
Brynn offered her suggestions,fully aware of what would unfold. After a while,he mentioned that they could hang out a bit longer,but he would need to take her home afterward.
When Brynn heard this, her heart sank, knowing it meant the end of their time together until next time. Once again, she felt hurt, broken, and devastated by the entire situation.
She couldn't understand how simply helping him could lead to them being together. It took Brynn months to move past the pain, and even after that, it still made her sad.
Brynn moved forward with her life,accomplishing various goals and experiencing losses of people and belongings.
She met new individuals,rekindled relationships with those from her past, and continued to gain valuable insights about life, just as she had hoped.
The last time Brynn let him back into her life was the third time, but it was still a bit chaotic. One day, Brynn and her friend were on the bus and needed to stop at a store afterward.
After shopping, they had to catch the bus again for their next destination. While they were waiting, someone familiar came out of the store.
Brynn's friend noticed her first, and then Brynn recognized her too. They exchanged glances to confirm it was really her, and then the lady from the store saw Brynn.
They both raised their middle fingers at each other and started cursing. A few minutes later, Brynn and her friend caught the bus back to the bus station, where the lady was already telling the bus driver her boyfriend everything that had just happened.
A couple of days later, he texted Brynn to see if they could hang out, and she simply replied yes. As usual, they had a lot of fun and shared many laughs, creating great memories.
One of the jokes they often made was about her saying " ain't he though" with her accent. Brynn often saw the bus driver but never really talked to him, referring to his girlfriend as "hoodrat.’’
As time passed, she tried to move on, but the pain lingered because the bus driver had shown her so much that she never expected to experience.
When Brynn decided to leave her parents' home, she planned a day for herself to relax and forgether troubles. However, her classmate Jake unexpectedly showed up in his car.
They initially thought they wouldn't recognize each other, but Jake pulled up next to her, and they struck up a conversation. Brynn shared her plans with him, and from that day on, things became exciting.
Although Brynn occasionally thought about the bus driver and their two years together , including the good times and how he helped her learn to drive, she found happiness with Jake.
They spent a lot of time together, enjoying each other's company and eventually developing feelings for one another, though they kept it to themselves and remained friends for a while.
Despite life's challenges that caused them to drift apart, they stayed in touch. Now, at twenty-five, Brynn has a car, a nice house, is married to a man named Bryan, and has three kids: Jamie, Jet, and James.
While she appears happy, she frequently wonders what might have happened if she had shared her feelings with Jake, especially during tough times in her life with Bryan.
Brynn was struggling with heart disease and facing various life challenges, while Bryan was not providing her with the support she needed, even neglecting to care for her children.
As time went on, Bryan became unwilling to uphold the commitments he made when he married Brynn. Eventually, he chose to leave her for his long-time crush.
The main reason his relationship failed was due to her parents' disapproval of them being together. This ultimately led him to move on.
Initially, everything seemed fine, but as time passed, they began to encounter issues, particularly when Brynn fell ill. He started to find her less attractive and secretly hoped she would succumb to her heart disease.
Despite her poor health,Brynn eventually decided to open up to Jake about her feelings and the struggles she was facing, including thoughts of divorce. In response, Jake offered to buy her a new heart, promising to give her everything she deserved, and expressed his desire to marry her and become a stepfather to her children.
Brynn was overwhelmed with emotion and, after a long time,felt genuinely happy. Once the divorce papers were finalized, Brynn was able to undergo heart transplant and came through it without any complications.
Additionally, she and Jake welcomed twin babies, Luna and Mateo, into the world. Despite everything Brynn had been through, she found happiness in her life.
She realized that even if you desire someone to be "the one," if it’s not meant to be,it simply won’t work out. Brynn also learned that many men are unfaithful, and the chances of finding the right one are slim.
Sometimes, a man may enter your life just to teach you what kind of partner you truly need, encouraging you not to settle for less than you deserve. In the end,Brynn realized that in order to move forward with her life, she needed to reconnect with her parents.
She decided to share everything that had happened since she moved out of their mansion,including introducing them to her children and her new husband. Together, they created a life that many people dream of, filled with trips and vacations.
Brynn's parents were able to watch their grandchildren grow up until the end of their lives. Before they passed away, Brynn made sure to seek their forgiveness and apologize for any pain she had caused them.
Everything seemed to be going well, and she even
organized their funeral, which was a beautiful event. Now at the age of forty-six, Brynn finds herself wondering what the future holds.
All I can say is that part of my story is true; you just have to figure out what is true and what isn't. In a way, I'm criticizing two people in my life: Ricky and Bryan.
I just don't understand how you can claim to love someone and be truly happy while playing with my feelings as if I didn't matter to you.
The reality is that I did matter, but the age difference caused damage. That's his loss. As for Bryan, you promised to be there for better or worse, yet you chose to be with someone else while your wife is sick and dying.
That didn't seem to matter to him. Thanks for my mom not being here anymore; just know that every year, you are the reason she isn't here.
