J

you have to stop running

Why oh why must you flee, with such ease,
Away from all that makes life pleas?
Why must you forever strive to throw
Your troubles off, your life you won't know.
A burden too much to bear you claim,
Yet if you'd stay, a reprieve you'd gain.
But away you dash, a new refuge your aim,
Turning away that much you'd reclaim.
Your course is set like a northerly wind,
With foes behind, no chance for you to win.
No one can stop you, though you may find,
That running away's a foolish kind.
Your heart full of pain and dread,
Your efforts are all in vain, like a dead.
To shoulder any burden, your choice instead,
Will be the truest path that's led.
The future looks grim and the darkness looms tall,
Your burden's too heavy, please don't fall.
Try leaving behind the pain and running away,
And use your strength to find a better way.
