You Said To Her You Loved Her

You said to her you loved her,
But she came to me in tears, heartbroken and shattered,
With a pain that she couldn't bear.
You left her with a promise,
And she believed in every word,
But now she's left with nothing.
And a memory that seems absurd.
I wonder how you could do this?
 Leave her with such pain,
When all she wanted was your love,
And for you to remain.
You said to her you loved her,
then you left her,
Leaving her heart shattered and alone. She thought you were the one,
But now she feels lost and on her own. She wonders if it was all just lies,
If your love was never truly real,
Or if it faded away with time?
And you can't help the way you feel.
She's left with memories of your embrace,
And the sound of your voice in her ear, But now she's forced to face the truth, That your love was never sincere.
So she'll pick up the pieces and move on,
And find someone who loves her truthfully, because she knows she deserves love.
That will always remain strong and new.
