You Want To Know A Poet

I am a poet
And not only I
There are many of us
You want to know a poet
Well I will tell you about
About myself
I am a poet who
Writes and recites
I hope those words ryhme
You will forgive me I tend
To digress sometimes
Maybe everytime
Just to make a poem with a ryhme
Or maybe two
As i was saying
I am a poet
I write and recite
Almost about everything
And anything
I recite about something and nothing
Not do I only recite about
Things but people too
Yes my gift is the best
It's cool
I am a poet
Poetry is not the art
Of mind but that of heart
It is life to me
I mean to the soul inside
With poetry in me
I will never perish
I am a poet
My emotions
Are expressed in words
And that is not an easy
Thing to do
For me it is,because it's a gift
We all have that gift
Only few of us do accept it
The rest rejects it
And I never understand why
Poetry is eagle wings
It can lift you high
With poetry you can really fly
You asked to know a poet
I will tell you everything
If you just sit and listen
I am a poet

I am what I recite
When I write
I write to heal
A soul that has given up
I write to give hope
I write to help
Where I can
I write to define love
In every way definable
I write to define life
In a every way possible
I write not only for myself
But for everyone
Who reads and listens
To my words
I find joy when
I know some one has read it
And has felt it
And I write poetry
Because I love it
It's a gift
Am not to waste it
