Do you read your Bible???
I pick it up more than now and then
Compare what's happening now
To what happen way back when...
Today Jesus would be called a radical
Like many of the "false" prophets today
He taught but added to the Torah
Went against the mainstream of His day...
He taught about being freed, from sin
How accepting Him, not returning again
If one died, there was no riot because of race
Violence and anger had no place...
When Simon Peter cut off the Roman soldiers ear
Jesus sternly corrected him
He the healed the ear of the Roman
In essence His teachings were not a whim...
His disciples did not get in the face of one eating
Demanding they raised a fist in His support
Jesus is now not looking down kindly
I am very happy to, the bullies, report...
The New Testament does not teach violence
Jesus did not condone or teach being a bully
His ways were about peace and harmony
So why do His ways bullies and protesters sully???
Do yourself a big favour, read your Bible
From the Alpha to Omega, a few verses each day
If not for the sake of faith or Religion
Maybe to learn helpful morals along the way...
