Your Face, My Landscape

Your Face, My Landscape
I let my eyes rest on your face—a landscape calm and clear
Where pine trees sway in slow, soft dances, wind brushing through my settled fear.
Where shores lie smooth, no surly edge, patient as earth can be,
And sea waves roll to kiss the sand, then drift back to the sea.

Your smile—a light I’ll always know—since we met in that warm glade
Our secret garden, gold with summer, where sunflowers held my shade.
They lit my path in green and gold, till I saw your hues unfold wide—
And all my shyness melted down, like morning tide.

I thought I’d need to grasp what “Ai” must bind or set free—
But when you said I’m not yet whole enough—it woke a truth in me.
I don’t have to chase after you, or map the world you’re in—
I’ll grow my own way, whole and true, within my own skin...🌘✨01182026 ©LanZhan
