I often forget who you are
A villian that breaks my heart in two,
But always manages to fix it with glue;
Knowing I'll feel as if it's brand new
You distract me from the pain,
With well timed hugs
And Smiles I've become addicted to
because they make me smile too
Your happiness is contagious
No matter my pain, I'll be happy if you are
A laugh from you makes my day
I'll spend it being happy I made you laugh
You keep me around stringing me along
With phrases like "I like you too...but"
That 'but' that haunts my dreams
An open door I can't make wide enough to pass through
You continue to let me down easy
As if you're allergic to a firmly placed period
You refuse to remove hope from my sight
So you torture me with smiles and hugs that will never mean anything more
Maybe you like me here
Is it an ego thing?
keeping me around empowers you?
Does it make you... Happy?
So you're a villain
One who torments me
Keeps me in bondage,
Refusing to let me go
So now I'll be leaving
Find someone else to torture
