You're not a broken Angel

Such a weird world we live in.
Or maybe,
we're the ones who made it this way.
Why expect anything from others at all?
They’ve got their own minds,
their own lives.
They won’t always align with yours.
And when they don’t
you break,
you cry,
you complain.
Why expect people
to act like the versions
you built in your head?
They weren’t born to play your script.
Not made to move by your cue.
So when they don’t
you act betrayed.
You play victim.
But here’s the truth
You’re just a side character in their story,
like they are in yours.
You’re not the lead
in someone else’s world.
So stop expecting to be treated like one.
You feel deeply—yes.
But so does everyone.
We’re all walking through fire,
carrying storms.
They’re not here
to save you from
the chaos you named “love.”
They choose themselves
you call it selfish.
They speak up
you say they’ve changed.
They walk away
and you call it betrayal.
But all they did
was drop a weight
you never asked if they could hold.
Who are you
to demand someone stays
just because you “felt deeply”?
That’s not love.
That’s guilt wrapped as affection.
You're not a broken angel.
You’re someone
who never learned
to sit with your emotions.
So you throw them at people
and get mad
when they don’t catch them.
Stop saying
you’re “too kind for this world”
when all you’ve done
is demand softness
from people who were bleeding too.
You weren’t destroyed by them.
You were destroyed
by the fantasy
that they owed you something
that they’d complete you.
But no one owes you healing.
No one owes you the peace
you refused to find in yourself.
And maybe
they didn’t break you.
Maybe…
you shattered
under the weight
of your own expectations.
And now you’re just mad
no one stayed
to pick up the pieces
you never learned to hold.
Maybe they too,
Unlike you, in silence, fall
And had their own hearts to hold, after all.
