As a plunge in anxiety

As a plunge in anxiety
I plunge into anxiety like a black sea,
With no visible shore, no star to see me.
My breath breaks in the depths of my thoughts,
Each silence weighs like a closed wall.

The hours stretch, slow and oppressive,
The heart beats too hard, the fear is insistent.
My dreams fade into a thick fog,
And hope wavers, fragile, imperfect.

I walk silently in my own storms,
Doubts speak to me, call me, lie in wait for me.
My mind gets lost in a thousand narrow paths,
Where every step trembles, where I doubt myself.

Yet, at the bottom of this suffocating water,
A glow resists, weak but alive.
Because even immersed in deep anxiety,
One day I go back to the air, to the world.
