Loneliness.
Being lonely.
At first, it appeared to me as a curse
a burden to bear,
a lingering pain within my heart.
But as I grew older,
I learned to find peace in it.
I learned to choose it for myself.
I learned to value its presence.
What once seemed to be the cause
of all my pain,
slowly became the origin of my calmness.
My inner peace.
I learned to know myself because,
in my lonely life,
I had nothing else to do.
I learned what truly matters.
I learned to be enough for myself.
And it taught me this:
Sometimes, what you see as your greatest enemy can end up becoming your greatest ally.
