My Fictional Mentors
Right now, I am seated,
looking at a TV screen.
And I realize something:
those stories helped create
the person I am today.
Those fictional characters
taught me about life—
how to live it,
how to persevere,
how to endure difficulties
without ever truly breaking.
They taught me
the difference between right and wrong,
and the consequences that follow both.
Through them,
I discovered who I was,
but also
who I wished to become.
They showed me worlds beyond my own.
They showed me paths—
the haunted one,
the lonely one.
But that…
depends on my destiny.
And mostly,
on my choices.
Choices
