Persephone

Persephone
My dear slave,
He had stared into the eyes of the Devil,
Her hair had become a rotting corpse,
And there he was, crying jewels along the way,
But still he was poisoned.

He embodied the angel himself,
He donated his old organs,
He faced his nightmares,
But he was still poisoned.

He cried until his eyes rolled back,
He pleaded for their pardons to be accepted,
He tried, until his friends helped him,
But he was still poisoned.

Before him, on the table, he had placed,
A gun and a measly cake,
Would it be so difficult to try again?
But he was still poisoned.

He tried to find death,
Yet another divine promise made him reconsider,
He pays for his sins through ignorance,
But he remains poisoned.
