My beloved
Now I realise how it feels to die while being alive.
She promised me she would never leave me alone. And now she's broken that promise.
A whole year has passed. It's November again.
It feels hollow. Empty. Black and white without her. Through my colourblind eye, the colour of her joy was the only colour I could ever see. Now my world has no colours left.
I'm growing old.
Sometimes I feel like my memories are fading away. But my heart still aches for her. Just to tell her the one unsaid thing I could never tell her: that she doesn't know how precious she was. More precious than diamonds or emeralds. She was like a sakura tree blooming in the middle of a desert.
She used to tell me about her one and only goal is to live a life worth living. She said she had no regrets. She lived a life of adventures, did everything she ever wanted, and was as grateful as ever.
But me? I feel like life's not worth living without her.
Her gentle, sweet voice still echoes in my head. And she says she was grateful to be with me.
I guess that's my biggest achievement in life.
